The retired shaman, who was currently dressed in linen pants and a Hawaiian shirt, twisted a lime into a Corona and handed me the bottle, "Did you hear about the farmer whose goat got shot by a sniper?"
"Nope"
"He pushed the goat in front of himself when he saw the laser beam."
"So that's why your hiring a professional sniper?"
"Are you the man for the job?"
"We shall see."

ReplyDeleteThe Cait Files
Cool story! (check the hose that comes out of your dryer; quite often lint gets caught in there - not to be alarmist, but we had a tiny basement fire in my house when I was a kid that was caused simply by lint clogging up the hose - AND if it's clean, your clothes dry faster - so double benefits - no fire/quick-drying clothes!)
ReplyDeleteGood picture! I have no clue. I'm very interested to find out what it is.
ReplyDeleteI would never have guessed your book puzzle title, even though it should have been obvious! (I'm sometimes kinda slow like that!) I haven't read the Percy Jackson books, even though they're all sitting on my son's shelves - hmmmm .. have to change that!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Hope it goes well!
ReplyDeleteGoing strong on the challenge! Still need to read Percy Jackson, too.
ReplyDeleteRead-a-thons always seem to be happening when I am stuck doing something else :( *sulks*
ReplyDeleteNever mind, I will be keeping an eye out for the next one and jumping in. Maybe I should start to think up excuses to give my mum now as to why the chores will be neglected for a few days hehe ;)
Ooh! What a clever picture-puzzle. And I loved your story. Really curious to know why that Shaman wants the farmer dead...
