Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee's View.

This week's question:

ACK! Your favorite book/movie character (example Hermione Granger played by the Emma chick) just walked into the room! Who is it and what would be your first reaction? You get extra points if you include visual stimulation.

Answer:

Sadly, I don’t have a favorite character, but if any character came to life I’d freak out. I have a ton of characters that intrigue me. Let’s go with Percy Jackson. I’d probably be looking around for a monster attack. Everywhere this boy shows up there is a monster.

Book Blogger Hop
This week's question is:

“What keeps you reading beyond the first few pages of a book, and what makes you want to stop reading a book and put it back on the shelf?

Answer:

Believability or un-believability is the main reason to read or not read a book. No matter what world you bring me into it needs to maintain the same rules and if you are using a location that I know it needs to either be in a time that has not been or be researched thoroughly.

Characters that I hate are another reason for me to put down a book. If I dislike them and am supposed to dislike them than it’s alright, but if a character is an antihero and it’s not the purpose than it’s a DNF.

Plot must keep going. Repetition gets on my nerves the quickest in any plot.

This week’s question:

Mr & Mrs: Who are your favorite book couples?

Answer:

My favorite book couples are:

Cat and Bones – Night Huntress

This couple is so steamy and although they are constantly having a power struggle they come together when it's most needed.

Clara and Tuck-Unearthly

Tucker is my book boyfriend. I'm not so secretly in love with him. He loves nature and there isn't one of his dates that I would not love.

Zoey and Connor- Changeling Moon

Although, Connor is certainly an alpha he allows Zoey to make her own choices up to the point where they harm her. I love how confidant he is in his dominance.

  3. I completely agree with your answer.
I do try to give every book a chance but don't force myself to continue reading a book that doesn't grab me.

  6. I did the  Crazy of Books blog hop today for the first time. I agree with you that if the plot isn't believable I have trouble sticking with it. I think that is why I stay away from Sci-fi because I have trouble believing in the world that's created.

  12. I didn't think about getting dragged into the drama of said character if I were to meet them. My mom and dad used to say that they'd never want to be in the same hotel, city, state as Jessica Fletcher (Angela Lansbury on Murder, She Wrote) because someone always dies wherever she goes.

  13. Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I agree with you on the whole disliking characters thing. If I cannot like a character that I'm supposed to (like the main one), I probably won't enjoy a book. And... love that you chose Tucker. I love him! :)

I try to finish all books that I start but I dislike annoying characters.  I'll dislike the book if I dislike the characters.

  16. These book blogger hop questions just get better and better.  This one looks easy but I think it’s a trick question. We all know it’s the same answer – the writing – but we all have different perspectives of what good writing is.

Hop on over to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net and read my three-prong answer as I explain why I’ll decide to pick up a book or put it down in under sixty seconds.

    Happy July 4th Weekend!

  19. Hi there! Found you through Crazy-For-Books blog hop. I haven't had a chance to read much of your blog yet but thanks for introducing me to Cold Kiss by Amy Garvey. I am definitely going to read that when it comes out. I read a lot of romance (paranormal being my favorite), ya, and some mysteries. Can't wait to read more!

  21. I am your newest GFC follower.  Love your bog design.  My answer to the Book Blogger Question:

I started reading a book the last month and it was suppose to be a very good book. But after giving it a couple of chapters I just couldn’t get into it. I put the book aside to read another day. I don’t like to do that because I feel as if my mind might have had too many distractions and I didn’t give the book a chance. So I always try to wait for another day to give it another go. I have so many other books calling to me from my to-be-read list that it can really be distracting. READ ME! READ ME!I prefer reading and reviewing Christian Fiction but I do read a varity of other books. I just can’t handle too scary or gory. Suspense and Mysteries I like. No explicit adult books either if I do find one I really want to read I just skip over the x-rated stuff. So what genre do I read?http://itstimetoreadmamaw.blogspot.com/
