Authors Are Our Celebrities: Have you ever contacted an author you admired? How did that experience go? If not, which author would you love to have a chat with?Answer:
When I finished Everneath by Brodi Ashton I immediately went and sent her an e-mail telling her how much I loved the book. I had contacted her previously for the event I reviewed it for, but I had to go and tell her how much it meant to me.
So I dragged my pneumonia stricken self out of bed and went to the computer and sent her off an email before I could get all nervous about fangirling. She seemed to really appreciate it and not find it super creepy which is good!
Rie I'm a wife, student, and a dog-lover who reads when I should be folding laundry (bane of my existance), I write (rarely as academic papers consume my life), and love getting wrapped up in fiction.

ReplyDeleteI totally love it when that happens. I've had times where I wondered if I should send an email or not, and went ahead and did it. I've never been sorry and it's led to friendships with some amazing authors!

I think that's pretty awesome! There are a couple of authors that I'm meaning to do that for right now, and I can't wait. I'm still trying to figure out how to word my emails, but hopefully, the authors know that I just absolutely LOVE their books.
