This Week’s Question:

Today’s Question is something new, an activity. We want to see what you look like! Take a pic with you and your current read! Too shy? Boo! Just post a fun pic you want to share.

Rie’s Answer:

Pabkins’ Answer:

This Week’s Question:

Gateway Books: Which particular books opened you up to a new genre?

Rie’s Answer:

I started reading paranormal books in a moment of complete boredom and the only book I had at hand was my sisters paranormal books, which I completely made fun of until I got addicted.

Top 3:

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer (yes, I know so cliché)

  Pabkins’ Answer:

Some of you might know already I love zombie books - what started me on it was the book World War Z by Max Brooks.  Oh and comedy fantasy - that was started by Terry Pratchett.  Check em out!  Crazy huh? Horror and Comedy - but a perfect mix!  (PS - Pabkins does not like the Twilight books haha neener neener *sticks her tongue out at Rie*

World War Z by Max Brooks
Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman

                       Rie and Pabkins

Essentially, we are two sides of the same coin. We both love to read but have tastes that range to such opposite ends of the Fiction spectrum!  Rie our blonde haired smoothie perhaps is the light and lovey side of us, Pabkins the chocolate haired one brings us the darker delights.

  3. Hopping through. I never thought I'd like paranormal romance. Twilight was what got me into the genre. And I haven't looked back since.

  8. Hopping through! I like that the blurred edges gave a dramatic feel to your pic. I think for me would be Dsytopian themed books.

  12. Isn't that always the way, where you make fun of someone reading something until you actually read it? Been there, done that. :) At least you're hooked now, that's all that matters! Happy FF! :)

  15. Sweet smiles, girls!!! Ah - I recall those halcyon days of pre-menopause when I could smile big & pretty without
being mistaken for a Sharpei. Le *sigh*. ;P

Back to the undead ... don't forget The Reapers Are the Angels! It's kind of a sleeper, and oft overlooked but one
of THE best Z-reads Eh-ver. And Dying to Live is tops, as well.

  29. *high five* for Twilight dislike? :p Okay Twilight I semi-enjoyed.. but my enjoyment went down as the series progressed.. quite massively. And Breaking Dawn scared me off for good. I avoided vampires for a while after Breaking Dawn!

Ooh and what is Changeling Moon like? I'm intrigued by that series!
