I'm excited to announce that Pabkins is joining into the fray that is Mission to Read. She is so amazing from her beautiful artwork to the fact that she had a Alice in Wonderland wedding. I mean seriously how freaking awesome is that?

Let’s meet the vivacious Pabkins!

Greetings and Salutations fellow book lovers! - Rie has asked me to introduce myself.  My name is Tabitha but my lovely sister Rinni calls me Pabkins - so I tend to use that handle on most areas of the net I frequent.

Rie asked me to pitch in from time to time here on Mission to Read.  I'm very new to the blogging scene - and I have a relatively new blog of my own called Pabkins' Attention Deficit Crafting.  Crafting, because that's what I spend the bulk of my time doing when I'm not reading, watching anime and loving my wonderful husband.  Of course my devil queen of a cat thinks she's married to him. That trollup!  If you're interested in seeing any of it feel free to pop on over - I keep my sister chained in the sweat shop making me all sorts of creatures and creations that we also sell online at Rinni's Playground on Etsy.com.

Here's a little cartoony self portrait mixed media painting I recently finished and I'm just about done making a couple of creepy dolls.

Now, back to the books - I have quite the book buying addiction - I collect them like little old men collect postage stamps or kids collect action figures and video games - even though I have oozing shelves stuffed with books that I haven't even read yet.  I just can't stop myself from buying more.

Plus there is nothing quite like the smell of a room full of the printed word!  I know the e-readers are a big craze right now but I still prefer a real book in my hands over an e-reader any day. *flips the pages of a book and sniffs - ah yes*  Yeah, I'm a bit creepy?  I'm scatter brained, prone to outbursts and oh yes, I'm a klutz beyond belief, quite literally a walking hazard zone.

I like reading various different genres, from thriller, fantasy, horror, comedy/satire, paranormal, urban fantasy to graphic novels, high fantasy and science fiction, childrens, young adult and even the romance.  Lets not forget the naughty stuff from time to time too *evil laughter*!

Hopefully, I haven't bored all of you to death and made your eyes bleed.  If I have - well - neener neener!

Whenever you see this sig, the post has been compiled by the lovely…---->

  1. *Sniff. Glances around to make sure no one's looking* Yeah, nothing smells better than a book. I love creepy dolls, if only to scare children with...
Anyway, welcome! I'm looking forward for your posts.

  2. Nice to meet you! I also love the smell of words in my house. Nothing compares! (perhaps, though the smell of baking cookies? okay that's a close second!)

  3.  Oh my gosh - cookies - I need them.  Yes - those hold a very close place in my heart as well.  That would be wonderful - imagine sitting in an old bookstore with a batch of fresh baked cookies.  = heaven

  5. Ninja! You been stealing my books? So many have been coming up missing lately *chuckles* Thanks for the welcome - sorry for the very late reply.  You'll love my creepy doll I'm almost done with.  Of course they are wonderful at creeping people out.  A friend of mine says my collection is going to come alive and kill me.  I might give her one for xmas just to creep her out.  Who could reject a handmade with vooodoo...errr I mean love in it!??

  6. Book stealing is the name of my game. :)
I can totally respect a person who can admit they delve into the creepy side.
So funny. That would be a great present. I think it's the eyes that creep me out the most.
