I've started a new feature. Great Design is a way for me to showcase other book bloggers that have put the effort forward to learn how to do great design work. If you would like to be considered for this feature please fill out the form!
You can find anything you need using Google (if you didn't know that already ..) If you're looking for design tutorials och want to know how to do something, just search for "how to .." or ".. tutorial". If you need cool backgrounds, type in "textures". There's also a ton of great pictures to find using Google. Just make sure that they're not copyrighted!
What do you like most about your design?
I love my background. It's a simple texture that gives a cozy feeling to the whole blog. When I started planning my design, I knew exactly how I wanted my background to look. After a great deal of searching I found just the perfect one. Many details and a lot of color is not really something that I'd want for my blog, so I'm really happy with how it looks. Cozy, simple and easy on the eyes.
What has been the biggest difficulty in getting your design to be how you want it?
Since I didn't do any coding at all in this design, it was fairly easy to make. I probably spent the most time on finding the right pictures and deciding where to place them. I spent several hours on this ..
Have you enjoyed learning about design?
I'm interested in all types of design and HTML coding and I really enjoy learning about it. I love trying out what fits together and how to make websites more appealing.
