Cover Review:  

As with all of this series, the covers are amazingly accurate to the books and while this one is a bit more OMG! I can not read this in public it’s pretty awesome!

Opinion:

This is the 4th (and I think final) in the series, so it’ll have spoilers for previous books. Also, I’m not sure I can really review this one in a comprehensive way. Let’s just say it is endlessly funny and a page turner that builds on great characterization that combines with a page turning plot.

Jane is just as funny as ever and has grown so much as a character over the four books that she is almost unrecognizable in the end in so many awesome ways. She is getting completely settled, getting married to Gabriel, have a childe in Jamie and all of her friends are getting settled as well. She has made peace with her family and while there is still a great storyline that has nothing to do with the settling this is an incredible end to the series.

Dick and Andrea and Zeb and Jolene have really settled in to family life and are busy with their own lives, but of course they are still there for Jane. Jane has made up with most of her family and I adore seeing her no longer at conflict with people that tormented her in earlier books.

The last two of this series, both had page-turning plots and I was addicted to reading them. In fact over the weekend as a break (after finals) we went up to Oklahoma and while in the casino I found place to chill and read when I was tired of playing. Yes, that addicting.

Opinion:

This is the saddest in the entire series so far. It tore my heart apart and healed it again.

As always the bond between Cat and Bones is undeniable. Cat is strong and doesn’t let Bones rule. Bones is strong and protective and oh so sexy.

I’ve got to say my favorite character is not one you’d expect, Vlad. I’m secretly in love. He’s on Cat’s side and doesn’t care for Bones. Most of the people helping Cat seem to only be there as a loyalty to Bones, but not Vlad. Vlad truly cares for Cat and since Cat quit the Special Forces she needs that connection.

The dream hacking kinda got on my nerves, but the rest of it is superb.

 I can’t wait for the next one to be released.

Opinion:

While I understand Rose’s need to fulfill what she believes to be Dimitri’s wishes her reckless decisions annoy me, though I believe they help her grow as a character a little bit more.

Sydney was entertaining to me. She so did not want to like Rose, and yet she did.

We barely saw Lissa until the end and while Rose was away we only saw her through the connection which at times seemed forced. Such as when in all likelihood Rose would be asleep instead of communing with Lissa.

Stigori version of Dimitri unsettled me, which means Richelle Mead did her job well. He played into Rose’s feelings for him to get what he wanted in a manipulative way. Honestly, I’ve always been for Adrian and not at all for Dimitri. He could be an awesome mentor, but bad-boy Adrian seems to fit with Rose better.

The action and plot were superb as always. This storyline certainly pulled on my heart strings. This entire series is a don’t miss.

I’m itching to read the rest of the series and luckily I have the remaining two on loan from the library. This is a series I will be buying for my personal library.
