Vote for Alex in the Heroine Tourney!

Another heroine tourney post goes up tomorrow. For those who haven’t been following the tournament at The YA Sisterhood this is a competition between YA heroines from our favorite books. Two heroines are pitted against each other. People will vote for the best heroine and the winner will move on to the next round until only one stands as the girl who won over YA readers.

Tomorrow, Alexandria Andros from Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Covenant series will compete with Rose from the Vampire Academy series. She’s up against some tough competition, but hopefully me and Momo from Books Over Boys who is Alex’s advocate, will convince you to advance Alex in this round.

You may know Alex already from Jennifer’s newly released book, Half-Blood. I’ll just give you guys a glimpse inside the world of Alex. She’s a half-blood. They serve two purposes in her society. To guard their world against the murdering daimons or serve and submit to the pures. She may be a troublemaker, but Alex is willing to do almost anything in order to become a Sentinel. Alex can kick butt, and with the help of her Sentinel tutor, Aiden, she might just be ready to face on the daimons. Alex is also loyal to people she loves. She knows how to act and not just think. Alex is also hilarious with her smart mouth as any teen-rebel would be. As in many young adult books, there’s always something in the way to knock the heroine down again and again. Alex not only manages to get back up, she’s fierce enough to fight back.

And if that hasn’t persuaded you to vote for Alex, Momo is also giving away a copy of Daimon, Half-Blood, and a pre-order of Pure (the next in the Covenant series) in honor of the tourney and for being Alex’s advocate. Plus, JLA will post chapter 16 from Aiden’s POV if she wins this round! Trust me, it’s an honor to be inside this swoon-worthy man’s head. Go vote! Show your support!

I will be posting my review of Half-Blood soon. Much more fangirling on there.

Jennifer L. Armentrout is offering an incentive to vote for Alex.

500 Votes: If Alex reaches 500 votes, I will give you a juicy scene from Pure. It involves a pool, but will be edited to avoid spoilers.
750 Votes: If Alex gets 750 votes, I will give you Chapter 16 from Half-Blood in Aiden's POV. Yes, that chapter.
1000 Votes: If Alex get 1000 votes, I will give you Chapter 26 from Obsidian in Daemon's POV.
Yes, that chapter.
Winning votes: If Alex wins against Rose, I will write a very lengthy scene/ basically a freaking novella from Aiden's POV about a trip he and Leon took that involved searching down a certain daimon that got away at the end of Half-Blood. Now. If she wins, all of this will take me some time, of course.
