This week's question:
How many books do you read in a week? And in what format do you read them, or listen to them?
Answer:
I read 2 or 3 books a week. Currently all are hard copies, but it’s usually one e-book to 2 hard copies.
This week's question is:
What book-to-movie adaption have you most liked? Which have you disliked?
Answer:
I haven't watched one in so long, but my favorite would probably be The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. My least favorite I actually have no clue perhaps Alice in Wonderland the original Disney adaptation or the newest version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

This week’s question:
In 2011 which new/old authors have you discovered & loved?
Answer:
There are so many!
Kiersten White (Paranormalcy)- Evie is so fierce! I love Paranormalcy in it's pink sparkly-ness.
Saundra Mitchell (The Vespertine)- Mixing paranormal elements with a heartbreaking romance and history is a surefire way of making me fall in love.
C.C. Hunter (Born at Midnight) - I don't usually stay up all night reading, but this one would not let me go once I'd started.

Aimee Carter (Goddess Test)- I was not really expecting to love this book, but I fell in love.

I didn't like The Last Song so much when I read it, and I love NS. However, I did enjoy the movie more. Good pick :o)

Hey, stopping by to follow back but your GFC is missing, alot of blogs are. I think I might follow already though. If not I will be back :) Happy FF!
ReplyDeleteBig Paranormalcy fan here! Can't wait for Supernaturally and more adventures with Evie.
ReplyDeleteThe original animated Alice in Wonderland is such a weird film although the book is pretty weird too; it's definitely not one of my favorites.
You mention the newest version of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory - perhaps we need a question about movies and which ones have been adapted the second time round for no good reason. The original Charlie & the Chocolate Factory was definitely the best! But did you see that the actress who played Violet and had to chew gum through so many of the scenes has since revealed how many cavities she got as a result!! A little bit of Friday trivia for ya! Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi! Here for FF. I love your blog design. I usually read 2 or 3 books a week too. I've added your blog to my favorites. (GFC s

re: Vespertine - yes, that romance warmed and crushed my heart in the same book. loved it!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you on The Last Song! I love that movie! And I'm not a fan of the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory either. And I can't wait for Supernaturally! It's going to be so good! I hope you have a wonderful Friday! ;)

My FF
I wish I could read more than one book per week. But, I'm too slow of a reader to accomplish this. If I'm really into a book, though, sometimes I can manage two per week. :)

Aren't ebooks great? I get so much reading done because of them! I really liked The Last Song as well, especially the dad. I love him!
ReplyDeleteLet’s kick off Memorial Day Weekend with some scandal and controversy.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved every minute of the Lord of the Rings films and felt they hit the mark when they brought Tolkien’s masterpiece to the big screen.

I don't read much Nicholas Sparks or watch the movies - they're generally too cheesy for me :) I said the Harry Potter movies because I think, all considered, that they're pretty darn good.
ReplyDeleteGlad to have found you via the Hop!
I haven't seen the Last Song because I want to read it first. It looked good from the trailer. Born at Midnight is what I'm going to read next! Can't wait. I love books that make me stay up late! That means they are good.
