Recently, I’ve heard a lot of people saying those who book blog should not also be aspiring writers. These two things are simply always going to coincide. It’s not astonishing that those who love books enough to spend many hours blogging, twittering, and conversing about books might possibly want to create those things they love so much. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I, myself, found book blogging long after I was already an aspiring writer and active in the writing circles. I’m currently not working on any writterly projects. Oh, my muse is active with a ton of things I want to write, but first I must have it as a priority and sadly between college, marriage, and blogging I don’t have the time or the inclination to write at the moment.

I’m still active in the writing community though. I’m actually a moderator for a writing website that has repeatedly been featured in Writer’s Digest 101 Best Writing Websites, Critique Circle.

Are a you a book blogger and a writer? If so are active in both circles, do find that they often overlap? Or is there another hobby that you have that makes you have a separate online affiliations?
