If you haven't seen the recent drama, I applaud you, because it took effort not to this week. It's truly been unprofessional and some of the bloggers I most look up to have fallen victim to the insults.
This is not a rant though. This is advice I'll one day give my little one's. I was bullied as a child, a lot. Through this bullying I learned a valuable lesson. Btw, my biggest bully is now my best friend.
If a person is bullying you, than you are important to them. If they simply ignore you is when they truly find you insignificant. The author that went rampage was an author that was hurting over some bad reviews. She was hurting. It wasn't about the bloggers being unprofessional, it was about her insecurities being realized.
The authors on twitter could have also been hurting over recent bad interviews or bad sales. I don't know I didn't see the actual twitter feed.
Stop justifying yourselves to those that are discouraging you and focus on the hundreds that are saying keep blogging, keep twittering, and most importantly keep reading. Ignore the one naysayer and focus on the hundreds of supporters.
